Anathallo - Canopy Glow (2008) →
I can’t stop listening to James J. Audubon and Cafetorium! Anathallo are violent mashup of Sufjan Stevens, Steve Riech, Philip Glass and Andrew Bird, give it a listen. The whole album in full tracks is free to listen to on last.fm. I originally heard it on a local radio station’s podcast; KEXP (90.3) Song of the Day.
Me: I'm looking at my pictures.
You are texting but still under the sleeping bag.
And then marching with Lia up your driveway through the snow
Then I'm taking pictures of some poor lady whos smoking outside while I wait for you at Red Robin
Next, its you me, Katherine and Isaac in the snow. Isaac looks decidedly steam punk/post-apocolyptic.
Her: Heh
Me: Your smiling face is about 2 inches from my camera, couldn't get you in focus that close.
We all sit in Red Robin, you've got eyes in ball point on your palms
I'm driving.
Next you are protesting me photographing you in the shower.
The water is running down you torso, across your perky, adorable breasts.
The 520 bridge stretches out in front of my dart and the early morning light unveils the Olympic Mountains in blue, in the far distance.
Next your at the computer. We were watching Rat Race.
Her: Babe, you're making me cry....
Me: Then you're at the computer again. The rest of the room is dark. You and the reflection of you in the room's giant mirror are illuminated by the glowing screen.
Sorry, I'll stop.
So many of those are happy tho.
Her: No, I know
